Issue Description / Symptoms

Users reviewing Lattice Radiant Power Calculator (PWC) results for a design that includes the Embedded Security Function Block (ESFB) IP may notice there is no dedicated "ESFB" row or tab in the tool's output. This may raise the question of whether ESFB power consumption is being accounted for in the reported results or omitted entirely.

• The behavior described in this article has been confirmed in Radiant Software 2025.2.1 and Radiant Software 2026.1 with the applicable Radiant Software Control Pack for XO5D.

Answer/Explanation: 

Yes, ESFB power is included in the Power Calculator output. ESFB power consumption is accounted for in Radiant Power Calculator results, but it is not broken out as a separate line item or tab — instead, its contribution is included within the overall fabric logic power calculation.

Since ESFB power is included in the fabric logic total, the Static, Dynamic, and Total power values reported for a design containing ESFB already reflect that contribution. A standalone ESFB-only power figure is not currently available from the tool, since ESFB resource usage is not isolated from the rest of the fabric logic power.

Prerequisite:
