Radiant timing analysis is performed under worst-case conditions for both setup/hold.

As an example, consider the Nexus devices. By default, hold analysis is performed using the ‘m’ speed grade which represents the highest performance grade using the min delay on the data paths. Setup Analysis on the other hand is performed based on the target device chosen using the max delay on the data paths.

These settings can be changed using the strategy options if you wish to see the timing of the different performance grades. The min and max delays are from the considerations of PVT (Process, Voltage, and Temperature) variations and therefore process variations are fully covered.
