Diamond: Why are the icons too small when using Lattice Diamond in 4k (3840 x 2160 pixel) screen resolution

The problem of Diamond GUI with 4k resolution has to do with its old libraries since Diamond was developed a long time ago. Using 4k screen resolution can cause the software to induce some graphical glitches like small icons or cropped interface.
As of May 2021, the best workaround that can be recommended is to adjust the display scaling As tested, 150% scale on 4K monitor is generally usable, rather than lowering the screen resolution itself.

If Diamond programmer is being cut-off, set the 4K monitor/TV scaling to 150% or lower then launch Programmer GUI. Once launched, the scale can be changed to the user’s scaling choice. The Programmer GUI must be kept open. For long-term plan, we are checking at enhancing the software’s support for higher resolution in the near future (target date TBA)
