7123 - Diamond 3.13 and PCS IP: Why is an "Error - runtime variable "print_trimmed_nets" is not declared" is produced after generating the PCS core?

Description:
When starting Clarity Designer > Double-clicking on 'PCS' under Architecture_Modules > Clicking "Configure" button

The following error will appear:
Error - runtime variable "print_trimmed_nets" is not declared

The issue is due to a bug in Diamond 3.13. Diamond 3.12 and 3.12 SP1 do not have this issue.

Solution:
The workaround would be to generate the PCS core using Diamond 3.12. You may access these on our Software Archive under Downloadable Software.

Using the PCS project generated from 3.12, you can still open it in the newer Diamond 3.13 but do not regenerate the PCS IP in the new version. You can still generate the bitstream and use the old version of the PCS.

If you need to use this on Diamond 3.13, please file a technical support ticket to request a patch.

This PCS error is planned to be fixed in the next Diamond release.
