For file storage reasons, it is sometimes advantageous to have the smallest possible VME(ispVM Embedded) file. There are several options in ispVM tool for VME generation to help with reducing the file size.
The Compress VME option will compress the repetitive data in the file, while the Compact VME option uses a Lattice proprietary command to make the command set smaller. Using these two options together will give the smallest VME file size.
In addition, unchecking the "Include the Header" option will also incrementally reduce the file size.
Another option is to use Slim VME with the Compress VME options. This will achieve the same result as described above.
