6528 - Propel 2.2: IP configuration catalogue is blank when trying to generate or modify an IP.
Description:
This is a bug in the initial release of Propel 2.2 production. The Propel 2.2 installation has some incorrect ‘World’ permissions on a specific sub-folder.
This sub-folder is involved in the IP configuration – the incorrect permissions essentially prevent the IP configuration window from working when the user is not part of the ‘User’ or ‘Group’ for the Propel installation.
This problem is specific to Propel 2.2 – Propel 2.1 had correct permissions on this folder.
Solution:
To solve this issue, someone with admin rights to the Propel 2.2 installation area needs to run the following command to update the permissions.
The command should be run from the root of the Propel 2.2 installation:
% find builder/rtf/ispfpga/data/python -name "*.pyc" -exec chmod a+r {} \;
This command will update all .pyc files in the “builder/rtf/ispfpga/data/python” subfolder to add read permission.
The fix is implemented on the Propel version higher than 2.2.
