6194 - All Nexus: Is it possible to program the device without connecting the MISO signal?
Yes it is possible, you just need to modify the programming flow such that only Class B, C, and D commands are used.
Referring to the original slave SPI configuration flow (Figure 6.9). The following should be considered:
- Skip steps 2 and 3 (READ ID) as well as step 7 (check Status Register).
- Since the Done and Busy bit will not be checked using step 7, then allocate ample delay before going to next step.
- Or, if the done bit is connected to the master, just check the status through that.
