405 - Does the VCCPROG pin have to be powered to program the Power Manager II - POWR1220AT8?

The VCCPROG pin only needs power if the POWR1220AT8 is going to be programmed in circuit with the rest of the board powered down. This pin is provided as a programming option and should not be powered up when VCCD and VCCA are powered up. The device's programming circuits will work if either VCCD or VCCPROG is powered up. If both VCCD and VCCPROG are powered up at the same time, reset transients can be generated from within the POWR1220AT8 resulting in undocumented behavior. Therefore, as stated in the data sheet, it is required that the VCCPROG pin is left floating when VCCD is powered. Please refer to the latest version of the POWR1220AT8 Data Sheet for additional clarification on this issue.
