2624 - Platform Manager 2: What will happen if the HVOUT driver current setting in PAC-Designer is less than the actual requirement of the MOSFET?

The HVOUT signal should be connected to the gate of the MOSFET in order to turn it on. There is typically no minimum gate current requirement for a MOSFET in order to turn it on. The current supplied to the MOSFET gate will determine how fast it turns on. Therefore the current setting within the PAC-Designer software will only affect the speed at which the MOSFET turns on. This can be verified by using the HVOUT Simulator Utility which is contained in PAC-Designer. This utility is available under "Tools" menu in PAC-Designer and is listed as the PowerManager_HVOUT_Sim.exe.
