2264 - Model 300 Programmer: What is the procedure to program a generic JTAG device using SVF Files and Model 300 Programmer?

The Model 300 Programmer can program any generic JTAG device, provided user have the correct SVF file for it. User can program any JTAG device that has a SVF file by selecting the correct adapter footprint and voltage in the Model 300 Programmer main window.
To Program a JTAG-SVF Device :

  1. Make sure that the appropriate socket adapter has been correctly inserted into the Model 300 Programmer and the device has been placed into the adapter socket with the correct alignment.
  2. In the model 300 main window, under Device, click select.
  3. The Select Device Dialog Box opens.
  4. Under Device, select JTAG-SVF, accept the remaining defaults, and then click OK to return to the main window. The main window changes slightly and displays the Adapter Footprint box in place of the Device Package box in the upper right.
  5. In the Adapter footprint box, select the appropriate adapter footprint for the device. If the footprint is device specific, select the appropriate device and device family, and then click OK to return to the main window.
  6. Click the Browse button, select the appropriate SVF file, and click Open. 
  7. Select the appropriate voltage for the device.
  8. Choose Project > Download

The model 300 programmer programs the device. The status box indicates the progress of the operation and reports any errors.
