Description:
No. Lattice DDR3 controller IP core does not support more than 2 chip selects. The IP core was designed and validated to support upto two ranks of DDR3 memory configurations. Since each rank is controlled by a corresponding chip select signal, the core provides up to two chip select signals. Therefore, it is not possible to extend the number of chip selects to more than two. Consider doubling the memory density as to have the same effect as doubling the rank size. It is preferred to implement smaller ranks in a DDR3 interface because of less loading with faster signal transitions allowing higher bandwidth with more reliable transactions.
