1712 - Diamond: How can user get estimated timing of my design before running place and route?
In both ispLEVER and Lattice Diamond tools, user can generate the timing using the static timing analysis tool after map, and before place and route. The static timing analyzer (TRCE) will generate timing using estimated models, as well as the fanout and net distribution. The timing file name generated by the tool defaults to *.tw1. Since tw1 file uses the same preference syntax, users can use tw1 effectively to get an estimated timing picture of your design after map. User can also use tw1 file to check the coverage of the constraints, and uncovered paths, without running PLACE and ROUTE.
